A further update on the ‘revised’ Mass responses which will be implemented on the first Sunday of Advent:

*Posture change * – At the Preparation of the gifts (bread and wine) we will ‘stand’ as we pray:

“May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and the good of all of his holy Church.”

Preface Dialogue: 

The Lord be with you.
And with your *Spirit
Lift up your hearts.
We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right and just.

Notation: When coming up to receive the Eucharist – Holy Communion on the hand our right hand is placed under our left hand to create a throne for the Body of Christ. The Communion Minister will proclaim aloud to us ‘The Body of Christ’ to which we respond ‘Amen’. The Eucharist is placed into our hand… we are to consume the Eucharist immediately … then we walk back to our seat.
