2017 Holy Week Liturgical Schedule

Our Holy Week liturgies lead us into the Holy Days known as the Easter Tritium. During this week the Church celebrates the mysteries of salvation accomplished by Christ in the last days of his life that lead to the life and joy of Easter.

*Palm Sunday:

April 9th – Regular Mass Schedule

            Palms are distributed at every Mass.

*Holy Thursday7:00 pm (No Morning Mass!)

            Holy Thursday Mass – Commemoration of the Last Supper with the foot washing ritual… Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament follows this Mass until 10:00 pm.

An ‘Altar of Repose’ will be set up in the Jesuit Room for quiet prayer in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.

*Good Friday Liturgy – 3:00 PM

            Celebration of the Lord’s Passion!

Good Friday is a Day of Fast: The invitation to fast is an invitation to eat a simple, meatless meal and to make time to pray and do acts of charity…

*Easter Vigil: Saturday Night, 7:00 pm

(Please note: There is ‘ no ’ 5:00 pm Saturday Mass on Holy Saturday.)

  • The Easter Vigil begins with the lighting of the Easter fire outside the Church at the end of the School.

*Easter Sunday: April 16th

Regular Masses: 8:30 am, 10:00 am and 11:30 am
