Immaculate Mary, we entrust
into your care and protection the ‘Holy Families’
migrating in Hope, in Fear, in Longing,
for some safety –
for something like a home.
We especially pray for the Iraqi family who are waiting in Jordan for us to ready their way – grandparents, a mom, a dad, two children and an aunt.
We also pray for the mom and dad with a young child coming to be with us from Syria.
May both of these Holy Families find a welcome and home among us.
As we open ourselves to their stories, their needs, their spirits, and their wounds…
may we know that we are welcoming Jesus and that Jesus is among us.
We pray for Mercy –
we pray for all migrants –
we pray for our community –
we pray that we may be Sacrament for one another – through Christ our Lord. Amen
